Technical activities in the leather industry were performed in tanneries of Argentina, Brazil and the U.S.A., filling different positions ranging from Production Manager to Plant Manager. Through a scholarship granted by an Argentine tannery (CIDEC S.A.), studied for 18 months at the National Leathersellers College in London.

In the commercial field started working for Rohm & Haas (Philadelphia, PA, USA) as their business representative for Venezuela and the Caribbean Region.

Continued Techno/commercial activities with BASF, taking care of its activities in Venezuela, India, Uruguay and Argentina.

I was, performing external consulting work in the Leather Industry as well as Business manager for Unitan (Quebracho tanning agent Producer).

Afterwards, took encharge of leather-chemicals represented by Unitan: England, USA and Spain.

While in India, as a Marketing Manager, make the implementation of a new distribution system,and optimization, of stocks, methods and of a production plan involving the discontinuation of non-profitable products. This led to a financial retrieval of the return from this company's sector, which moved from minus - 1.8 M dollars yearly to plus 0.6 M for the first quarter in 1988.

In many occasions, represented Basf Venezuela, Uruguay, India and Argentina at the Semaine Internationale du Cuir (SIC), in Paris, as well as Bologna and Hong Kong.

While in Uruguay, worked in development of new auxiliary products for leather tanning and finishing. The range of products and customers' service were optimized and the company's profitability improved 38% during those three years. I was working together with the technical visitor from BASF Germany on the development of new technic and products and their applications on the : Leather Textile, Paper and Paint industries.

Also in Argentina, I was promoted changes in production planning, enhanced productivity and modified marketing systems. This led to an increase in profitability of 1.2 M dollars in 1993, as compared with the previous year.
